WHO AM I ?

Vijoy Kumar Singh, a compassionate individual whose journey is woven with dedication to public service. Born on August 5th, 1959, in Ladania, Bihar, he embarked on his professional path as Deputy Collector in 1987. His illustrious career culminated as Divisional Commissioner in Kolhan (Chaibasa), retiring as a distinguished IAS officer from the batch of 2002.

With an academic foundation laid in various Bihar and Jharkhand schools, Mr. Vijoy pursued college education in Ranchi, specializing in Geography. Currently, he channels his wisdom and experience as a devoted BJP Member in Jharkhand, tirelessly contributing to community welfare.

Family is paramount to Mr. Vijoy. His beloved wife, Mrs. Kalpana Singh, a former volunteer teacher, stood by his side during postings in Simdega and Chaibasa. Their son, Mr. Vaibhav Singh, finished his MBA from Harvard University in 2017. He is also a graduate of Shri Ram College of Commerce.

Daughter Kirti Singh is a beacon of inspiration. With an MBBS, MD in Obstetrics

and Gynaecology, and a resilient spirit, she not only completed her DNB but also earned certification as an IVF specialist. Amid the pandemic, she selflessly served as a COVID warrior.

Vijoy’s son-in-law, Naveen Poddar, boasts an IIT Kharagpur B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from IIM Bangalore. His career traverses Banking, Real Estate, and Education Technology, focusing on uplifting Indian consumers.

Vijoy’s daughter-in-law Deviyani Dixit has completed her post graduate diploma in Journalism from Indian Institute of Mass Communication and is currentely leading core payments for APAC at Uber.

Vijoy Kumar Singh’s life is a tapestry of public service, family values, and academic dedication, all intertwined for the betterment of society.
